Chantal Murthy

Chantal Murthy is currently a volunteer research assistant at the University of Washington’s SPIRIT Center. She is researching strategies to improve outcomes for those experiencing thought disorder, and has contributed to the CAPS 2025 data collection effort.

 

Her recent work includes synthesizing Prof Ari Rapport’s (vetted by Nobel Laureate Prof Roger Kornberg on DNA transcription) extremely comprehensive, root-cause and mechanistic theory on membrane dysfunction in schizophrenia as the root cause, in this presentation <Understanding the PUFA Hypothesis of Schizophrenia>, producing an outline on therapy gaps in CBT-p to address thought disorder with suggested treatments: <Treatment gaps in CBT-p for thought disorder> and co-creating a World Mental Health Day brochure for 2024 providing information and resources for treatment for psychosis: <World Mental Health Day 2024 Brochure> . She has also investigated correlates of diabetes self-care in patients with SMI and diabetes as well as presented on the phenomenology of thought insertion based in <What is Thought Insertion>. She has co-developed educational websites to make complex topics like graph theory, immunology and genetics more accessible for self-learning: <Dinitz conjecture proof>, <Immune: A Journey into the Mysterious System That Keeps You Alive> and <Godel, Escher Bach – Typogenetics>.
